HOSTS OF THE 6TH WORLD FISHERIES CONGRESS

The Fisheries Society of the British Isles is proud and pleased to host the 6th World Fisheries Congress in Edinburgh this year. We believe that the Congress will again be a forum for the communication of international excellence in fish and fisheries science and fisheries management.

The FSBI is an international, non-political, learned society based in the United Kingdom, that supports scientific activity in fish biology and fisheries management research through charitable sponsorship. The FSBI offers support for relevant meetings and conferences, research and travel through travel bursaries, PhD studentships, small research grants and sponsorships. World Class research and technical information are disseminated through the Society’s journal, The Journal of Fish Biology, produced by Wiley-Blackwell publishers.  We also produce briefing notes for scientists, managers and politicians on important aspects of fish and fisheries.

Membership is open to anyone interested in these objectives.
